WPN’s The Beast to be Epic This January

From the 3rd to the 30th of the month, The Beast will see $20,000 added each week. The top 20 players in the leaderboard points race will earn a cash prize and be able to split the additional money of the prize pool.

Americas Cardroom Announces Huge Tournament Available to US Residents

The flagship site for the network is Americas Cardroom and this is where US players get in on the online poker action. The site recently announced they will be offering a mega guaranteed tournament for players to take part in this December.

The event is being called Winning Millions and will have a buy-in of $540. This event will have a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and the first place winner is set to earn at least $200,000. Americas Cardroom will not offer the event until December 14th but will be providing daily feeder tournaments so players can earn this spots early.

The special event is being promoted by Americas Cardroom as the first 7-figure guaranteed event to take place at a site in the US in many years and is hoping that players will turn out for the event. As part of the promotion of the event, the online poker site will also be offering 1 free bank wire to any player who makes it to the final table of the tournament.

For 2014, the Winning Poker Network is trying to grow significantly and this new announcement is certainly part of the plans. New Tournament Option Launches at Americas Cardroom

Americas Cardroom is one that is available to United States players which makes it unique in the online poker industry. The online poker site offers a nice selection of gaming opportunities and recently announced they are adding a new option for tournament players. On Demand is the latest tournament option and can be found in both MTT and SnG game play.

The new option will allow players to compete with a minimum number of gamers who are entered into the tournament. However players are allowed to register late for a certain amount of time. Americas Cardroom Phases Out Bad Beat Jackpot

AmericasCardroom-TableBeginning in September, Americas Cardroom will be phasing out their promotion in regards to the bad beat jackpot and trading the idea out for something new. Currently, the site pays players a jackpot for competing at the bad beat jackpot tables and losing with a pair eights or a better hand. Once the 1st of September arrives, this option will no longer be available.

From this point, the site will not require a fee for players to play the bad beat jackpot, yet the jackpot will still be in play. Americas Cardroom released a statement on the subject via Michael Harris, which read that the company had decided to respond to feedback of game play by delivering a certain type of experience for ‘diehard’ players. Players wanted changes with the Bad Beat Jackpot and America’s Cardroom decided to change the concept of how players would earn the cash.

The change will see the jackpot frozen and players will be able to earn a piece of the jackpot. Players can compete for the jackpot once September arrives with no fee to compete. As of this point, the fee taken from the Beast category will only go towards The Beast when normally the fee fed the Bad Beat and The Beast.

Right now the site takes $0.25 in fees for stakes of $1/$2 as well as $0.08 from lower stakes for the bad beat. $0.13 and four cents is taken for the Cash option of The Beast and the Tournament Race of The Beast. Higher takes take out even more cash to pay for The Beast and bad beat competitions.

Once the changes take place, $0.25 will be the maximum fee taken off for every stake level. This amount will be taken from the Beast tables and a portion will go toward the Cash Race and a portion will go towards the Tournament Race. The site will then host a point’s race and the jackpot will be awarded at the end of the month to the top players.
