America’s Cardroom is one of the oldest online poker rooms still in existence today.  Founded in 2001, the room has over a decade of experience in the online poker industry.  Though, they aren’t one of the larger online rooms; America’s Cardroom has always had a nice stable of loyal players.  A member of the Winning Poker Network, America’s Cardroom purchased the assets of Doyle’s Room in 2011 and rebranded the room.

America’s Cardroom is a top choice for US poker players and have an impressive payout record.  Providing faster payout speeds than most other US facing online poker rooms, America’s Cardroom is an excellent option for not just players in the US but those worldwide.  The room is licensed and regulated Cyprus.

VIP Program and Poker Bonuses at ACR

America’s Cardroom currently offers players a 100% deposit bonus up to $1000.  Weekly freeroll tournaments are also offered to depositing players, providing them with chances to earn even more free cash when they deposit.

America’s Cardroom has a tiered reward system that rewards players with Combat Points and Rank Points.  Points are earned for playing in real money cash games and tournaments.  As players earn Rank Points, their levels will climb, and they will earn Combat Points at a faster rate.  Combat Points can be used for special bonuses, cash rewards, and luxury items from the America’s Cardroom online store.

A Bad Beat Jackpot is also offered for players that is nearly always above $50,000.  Another unique promotion is “The Beast”, which is a progressive rake race for players.  A truly unique promo – the more rake generated by the players, the higher the bigger the prize pool becomes!

Rakeback is offered at 27% under the contributed method.  There is a 27% deduction on bonuses and promotions, but players will still earn 73% of their bonus opportunities even though they are a rakeback player.

ACR Software

America’s Cardroom certainly isn’t state of the art but is a stable client.  It also has some unique features that aren’t found anywhere else online.

As with most online poker rooms, America’s Cardroom offers players resizable tables and the ability to organize these tables using the cascading function.  Multi-tabling is not a problem as the client is smooth when operating a large numbers of tables.  However, the lobby filter does leave a lot to be desired, it’s decidedly old timey and does not allow for too many customizable options.

America’s Cardroom offers the unique option for players to “straddle” and “chop.”  These are foreign concepts to online poker, but most live players are certainly familiar with them.    Straddling allows players to essentially “bet blind” – the trick is that the decision to straddle must be made preflop, before any cards are dealt.  Straddling adds a unique dynamic to the game, as the under the gun player will act last, instead of first in the preflop betting round.  Chopping allows players in the small blind and big blind to take back their blinds if no other players are in the pot.

Support

America’s Cardroom offers excellent support for players and has a dedicated team of representatives available 24 hours a day.  Live chat is available during most hours, with email and toll free phone support being a constant.  The room provides a maximum email response time of 24 hours, but normally they are much quicker to respond.  Players report solid interactions with support, and an eagerness to make the best possible decision to improve player satisfaction and grow the room.

Banking Options at America’s Cardroom

America’s Cardroom is primarily a US facing site, and most of the players populating the tables are US citizens.  However, players from all over the world are welcomed.  Depending on a player’s location, their deposit and withdrawal options may differ.

However, the most popular options for US citizens and international players alike are Visa, MasterCard, Western Union and Skrill (formerly MoneyBookers).  Cashout times are some of the VERY BEST in the industry!

International Customers

International customers, per usual, have a large amount of deposit options at their fingertips, making it easy to get money online within seconds.  The easiest of these methods are online e-wallets’ Neteller and Moneybookers.  Both are instant deposit options and have a nearly unlimited deposit limit and are both available for fast withdrawals.  International players will also have many other country specific options.

USA Players

Players from the US can deposit using a Visa card or cash transfer.  Both methods are viable options, while Visa is instant; cash transfer, via Western Union or MoneyGram will take a few hours.  These can be done at most point of sales in the US, and in some cases online.  They come with steep fees, but ACR’s will cover the fees if the amount of the deposit is $300 or more.

America’s Cardroom has the most reliable and fastest withdrawals for poker players in the US online poker market.  Cash transfers are processed in just 3-5 business days, and checks take just 10 business days to reach players.  They also offer a prepaid debit card, which takes about 2 weeks to reach players.  Withdrawals can then be made to the prepaid card, and usually take about a week to process.

Most Popular Deposit Method for USA Players

Bitcoin – Hands down, the cyptocurrency Bitcoin is the best and quickest way to load funds onto your ACR account. Simply open up a secure BTC wallet (Coinbase, Bitstamp, etc), fire over your deposit amount in the cashier backend, input your BTC wallet address and submit your deposit. It’s that simple!

Bitcoin allows for insanely fast deposits and withdrawals up to $50,000! It takes seconds to set up a bitcoin wallet. Check it out today.

Player Traffic and Competition

America’s Cardroom is a small room, with typically around 1,000 cash game players during peak hours.  The network is shared by a number of skins, including True Poker, 5Dimes, and other rooms.  America’s Cardroom, like many other network sites offers players a sportsbook.

The frequency of sports bettors on the network, coupled with the lack of grinders certainly makes the games exceptionally attractive to experienced players.  As with many smaller networks, the games are usually fishy.  Also, the bad beat jackpot promotion is a favorite of inexperienced players, and nearly every game running is a BBJ table.

Cash Games

America’s Cardroom has a fairly active player base at No Limit Hold Em’ from the micro stakes to the middle limits.  Pot Limit Omaha generally doesn’t go during off hours, but a few games will go in the evenings.  Limit Hold Em’ action is limited, and usually only goes in the evenings, if at all.  Also, offered are Stud, Stud Hi/Lo, and Three Card Draw.

Tournaments

America’s Cardroom has plenty of multi-table tournament action for a small site.  Each Sunday there is a $50K Guaranteed Tournament, along with weekly $10k Saturday Night Weekly Guaranteed.  There are smaller prize pool tourneys throughout the week, in addition to the weekly guarantees.

One huge drawback of America’s Cardroom is the lack of Sit N’ Go tournament action.  It is basically nonexistent even during peak hours – hopefully as the room continues to grow the SNG player pool will will soon begin to populate.

Overall

On their homepage, America’s Cardroom invites players to “Join the Next Big Thing”, and we can not help but think they may be right.  The room has grown tremendously in size over the past two years and offers players plenty of benefits.  With a fishy client base, a superb VIP program, and an awesome welcome bonus – who wouldn’t want to give America’s Cardroom a try?
