Everest Poker is an online poker room recently moved to the iPoker network and scrapped their own proprietary software on the Everest Gaming network.  Established in 2005, and regulated in Gibraltar, the room adheres to the strict requirements of the Gibraltar Gaming Commission.  One of the most diverse poker rooms in the world, Everest has a multi-cultural player base and is a true melting pot of online poker.

Rated highly in all areas, especially customer service, Everest is an excellent choice for players worldwide.  Everest currently does not accept players from the United States, but they do offer one of the easiest bonuses to clear right now for online poker players.

Software

Everest uses an independently developed poker client, which developers obviously spent a lot of time on.  It is available for Mac, as well as PC and is translated in 15 different languages.  The client isn’t flashy but is stable and quick.  The lobby is uncluttered, and lobby filters make it easier for players to get a game going quickly.  Resizable tables, stacking and tiling, are all options, as well.  So, multi-tablers won’t have any issues with Everest – which allows a 12 table maximum for players.

Everest is supported by both PokerTracker and Holdem Manager so keeping track of play is easy.

Support

Everest truly shines in the support area, offering support via email, live chat and phone support.  Also, in addition to offering support in English, they have customer service representatives for French, German, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish players.  Players won’t even likely need to go to support for help, as Everest offers a comprehensive FAQ on their site that answers mostly everything a player wants or needs to know.

Cashier

Everest offers the usual deposit methods that most other rooms offer.  The most common being Neteller and Moneybookers, both online e-wallets with a trusted history. Players also have a few other methods, and can quickly deposit via credit card or debit card – using their Visa or MasterCard.  Other deposit options include Entropay, Click2Pay, and Paysafecard.

Withdrawals to most methods are processed promptly, usually within 12-36 hours and are usually processed back to the method a player deposits with.  If a player’s method of deposit is not available for withdrawal, they’ll have to choose another method.  Currently, players can withdraw via Neteller, Moneybookers, Click2Pay, Visa card and by paper check.  Visa credit card withdrawals will take 10 business days to be processed, and checks will take 4-6 weeks to arrive at a player’s home.

VIP and Bonus

Everest has a lucrative VIP Program, called the Summit Club, which rewards players with Summit Points for real money ring games or tournament play.  The Summit Club is a tiered reward system, and as players earn Summit Points, they will gain VIP levels in the Summit Club.  Summit Points will unlock bonuses for players and can be used for luxury items, cash bonuses, and live event buy-ins.

Joining the Summit Club is simple, from the Everest lobby, click on ‘Account’ and click VIP Summit Club, once a player agree to the terms in conditions, they are a member for life.  Players in the Summit Club can also refer their friends for an up to $200 refer-a-friend bonus.

Newly depositing players will receive a 100% bonus up to $500, which is released incrementally as players earn Summit Points.  Since users gain levels in the VIP Program as they earnSummitPoints, they will be gaining rewards along with earning their bonus.

Player Traffic and Competition

Everest Poker is an almost fully independent network, but it shares its player base with Betclic.com, an online bookmaker that offers players sports betting, a Vegas style casino, and of course, poker.

Everest is not a large room, but at peak hours, has several thousand players.  Even though, Everest isn’t one of “big boys” of online poker, they have a lot to offer skilled players in the form of soft competition.  Like many smaller rooms, grinders or professional type players number less than fish, by a considerable margin.  So, experienced players at Everest will often have free reign on fishy player base, with few other sharks.

Tournaments

Again, Everest is a smaller room, so they won’t have the big guaranteed tournaments that the leading sites offer, but they still have attractive overlays and a multitude of both multi-table tournaments and Sit N’ Go options for players.

Everest offers daily MTTs for players, including daily freerolls for both longtime members and new depositors.  Everest has two “Big Prime” weekly tournaments, a $75k Guaranteed on Saturday, and a $30K Sunday Guaranteed.  The fields are generally weak and can occasionally have some enticing overlays.

Sit N’ Go tournaments have moderate action on Everest, but players may have to wait a little bit for a game to fill, even during prime hours.  Still, most of the time, except at the higher buy-ins, games will usually fill in 10-15 minutes.  Buy-ins span from the micro limits, all the way to the $500 buy-in level.  Everest offers heads-up, 6-max, and 10 handed SNG tournaments.  Many tournament options are also available, such as Rebuys, Turbos, Add-ons and deep stack variations.

Cash Games

Everest Poker players will have plenty of selection when it comes to cash games.  The micro stakes community at Everest is vibrant and has 20 or more tables at any time of the day.  No Limit Hold Em’ action is consistent at all levels, but stakes above $5$/10 seem to go sporadically.  Pot Limit Omaha also has its fair bit of action.  In addition to those games, Everest offers Seven Card Stud, Draw Poker, H.O.R.S.E and Razz.

Overall

Everest isn’t a grinder’s paradise, but that is partly why it is so attractive.  Experienced players can apply optimal game selection, and seek out the fish.  On top of that, they offer a fantastic welcome bonus of up to $500, and an impressive VIP program in the Summit Club.
