Female Poker Player Dominating the Field in Oregon

Currently in Oregon, the Wildhorse Resort & Casino is hosting the Spring Poker Round Up, a poker series which offers tournament game play with several events on the schedule. The series may not be as prolific as the WSOP or the WPT, but will soon be very well known thanks to one poker player. Angela Radich Jordison has dominated the field during the series, taking down the first place win in the first three events of the Round Up.

According to Card Player, Angela has cashed out before in Pendleton, where the casino is located, and in Las Vegas over the past few years but never earned a tournament win. She now has three under her belt, all back to back! The bar owner and mom of two has played the game for more than ten years but certainly doesn’t have a lot of time to devote to tournament play.

Tournaments do not happen often in her area so she must make do with the card games at the Wildhorse Resort & Casino. When the poker series was announced the poker player decided to try her hand at a few events and proved to be very successful. Speaking with the news source, Angela stated that the last three events were a blur. She stated she played more heads up over the three day time span than she had in her entire life.

Each of the tournaments took place in no limit hold’em form with the third being a shootout format. Angela stated the third was the most difficult taking a lot of concentration while she had little sleep. The wins were quite impressive as the field of competitors were quite large for each event. #1 had 537 players, #2 had 448 and #3 had 214. Overall, she won $10,828, $18,348 and $8,731 for competing in each of the three events and claiming the title win.

Hopefully the wins will give this mom a little attention and help her to enjoy the game of poker even more! After busting out in Event #4, she went straight home to rest after a tiring but fun-filled few days!
