It was recently announced that PokerStars has partnered with the Seminole Hard Rock Casino to offer players an additional way to buy-in to the Main Event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship. The SHRPOC was recently moved from its previous set dates to not interfere with the EPT Barcelona which is sponsored by PokerStars. The series will now take place beginning August 14th and offer 24 events which include the $5,300 Main Event. The main event will have a prize pool of $10 million so many pros are expected to participate.
The main event will take place on the 28th and will be followed by the $100,000 Super High Roller Event just a few days later. The Main event will begin the following day after the Barcelona events conclude so players will be able to fly to Florida to compete in this event. According to PokerStars, the site will now be offering players the opportunity to buy into the live Seminole event for the first time ever via the PokerStars account. Players will be able to buy in to Day 1 and will have the option up until the 24th of August. To buy-in, players will need to open the lobby of PokerStars, click the More and Special tabs and then find the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship tournament. From there you can choose from three opening day options.
